Artist and Vendor  Application

Thank you for your interest in the fifth annual Humboldt Marble Weekend! For 2025 we are moving the show to the largest venue in the county (Redwood Acres Franceschi Hall, 3750 Harris St, Eureka, CA,) and plan to fill it with artists and participants from all over the country and world!

All artists and vendors are encouraged to apply, for free, by the October 18th, 2024 deadline. After that, our team of jury members will pick the roster and notify artists who will then have 3 weeks to pay for their space. All artists not chosen for the initial group will be on “standby” to possibly fill vacancies as they open up. High quality pictures of your work and table display will have a strong impact on the judging, and we encourage all to put their best foot forward. **Please send photos of your work and table display to Copiousglass@gmail.com after filling out your application below.**

Table fees for the show are $350, which includes a 72"x30” table, two chairs, and access to electricity. There will also be the option of sharing a table for $225 per artist.  Artists will need to provide their own tablecloths, display stands, and any additional lighting. There will be power available at every table, but extra power strips and extension cords are a good idea.

Set-up for the show will be on Friday, February 14th, from 8 am - 10 am.

Break down will be on Saturday, February 15th, from 6pm - 8 pm.

Show hours are 10am - 6pm on Friday and 10am - 6pm on Saturday.

We will be hosting our pre-event meet and greet party "The Marble Makers Ball" on Thursday, February 13th from 6:00 to 9:00. There will be music, food and drink as well as the opportunity to be part of our Mega Collaboration Marble. Artists selected to be part of the show will have the opportunity, but not obligation, to contribute a small borosilicate cabochon for a 3"+ marble that will eventually be donated to the Clarke Museum as part of their permanent display.

This is a marble-focused event, but other glass items may be displayed and sold. We are asking that no "functional" glass be displayed on your table, but you are welcome to keep a case to show folks "under the table", and you are obviously free to do as you please outside of the show facility.

We are still working on the details, but have applied for a grant to cover the cost of a large marble hunt on Sunday, February 16th. Rather than asking for artist donations, we are hoping to have a budget to cover buying marbles from visiting artists and making this a win-win situation for both the artists and the hunters. Ill provide more information as it becomes available.  Also grant-dependent will be a "Peoples Choice Award" that will pay cash awards to the top three artists as chosen by the show attendees.

We are offering travel and logistics tips on this site under the “travel information” menu, but please feel free to contact us with any additional questions. Humboldt is an oddly difficult place to get to and has its own peculiar situations that can often be avoided with a little insider information.

Out-of-state vendors will be responsible for filing for their own California Temporary Sellers permit. Please contact us if you have any questions. For more information, visit this site:  https://www.cdtfa.ca.gov/industry/temporary-sellers.htm

If your plans change, we will offer full refunds until January 14th, 2024. No refunds will be available after this date.
